What Makes Him Stupid:
At the end of an appearance on Radio Cymru's weekly discussion show Dau o'r Bae on Friday, June 13th, the talk turned to the Euro 2008 tournament. A woman on the show shared her thoughts on various teams. 'Boring' for the Swedes and 'nice flag' for the Portugese. When she was saying 'nice food' for the Italians, Cairns interjected that "I've written greasy wops."
He did immediately apologize and both he and his political party have apologized after the show.

Chris Monzel
Chris Monzel is a Cincinnati City Councilmember and an engineer at General Electric Aviation.
What Makes Him Stupid:
While running for re-election in fall of 2007, he ran a TV ad talking about getting sexual predators off the street. The photo in the ad was Rip Torn's mug shot from his DUI arrest in 2006. The black bar over his eyes was not enough to hide his identity.
After months of negotiations, an agreed upon apology was released.
"I wish to apologize to Rip Torn for a television commercial that aired in late October and early November 2007 in the Cincinnati area on stations WCPO, WLWT and WKRC, as well as on Time Warner Cable. That commercial discussed, in part, my efforts to get sexual predators off the streets. Purely as a result of an error by my campaign, an unauthorized altered image of Mr. Torn was inadvertently shown during that commercial. I never intended to imply any improper or illegal conduct by Mr. Torn. I have been informed that, in addition to being an award-winning actor, Mr. Torn proudly served in the United States Army as an M.P., and was honorably discharged having obtained the rank of First Lieutenant. I wish to correct any implication that Mr. Torn has ever had any involvement in the conduct discussed in the commercial, and I apologize to Mr. Torn for any distress this may have caused him. Iris Robinson
She is a member of Parliament representing Strangford in Northern Ireland. Her husband in the leader of the Unionist political party to which she belongs.
What Makes Her stupid:
Reason #1:: In November, 2007, she was suspended from Parliament for a day after telling the health minister that he was"lacking the bottle to make decisions." The Speaker, who is in her own party, ruled that her remarks were "unparliamentary." (some research found that 'bottle' is slang for guts/courage)
Reason #2:: In May, 2008, while debating a bill about IVF and birth certificates, she said, "Can you envisage down the road a child going to primary school and being collected by two females or two males and the bullying and the abuse that these children will be exposed to? Or going into the parents' bedroom and finding two women making love or two men making love? And that's natural for a child to see?"
While trying to defend the above comments, she went on to compare gay people to murderers. "And just as a murderer can be redeemed by the blood of Christ so can a homosexual,"

"I speak tonight saddened by the approach taken by right honourable and honourable Members who wish to airbrush out the role of fatherhood. I notice that there are many grins on faces, but I stand by my faith and the word of God that man was created in the image of God and that woman was created from the rib of Adam to be his helpmeet and companion. That is the natural progression of procreation. I am so sorry that honourable Members are abusing my position as a Christian and that they will not listen to me or give me due respect. I ask where the rights of the Christian people of this country are, because they have spoken. A recent poll reported in the press here showed that 80 per cent. of people recognise the need for the traditional family. Honourable Members can all breathe sighs of relief or indignation, but I am telling the House that the word of God says that procreation is through a man and a woman. We are moving mountains to facilitate immorality and to bring the rights of lesbians above all others in this country. It is a shame, and honourable Members ought to hang their heads in shame."
Reason #3:: Stephen Scott was gay-bashed by three men in Belfast on Wednesday, June 4th 2008. Two days later, on the Ulster's Nolan Show, She said "I have a very lovely psychiatrist who works with me in my offices and his Christian background is that he tries to help homosexuals - trying to turn away from what they are engaged in. I'm happy to put any homosexual in touch with this gentleman and I have met people who have turned around and become heterosexuals."
"My Christian beliefs teach me that you love the sinner but hate the sin. But homosexuality is something that is an abomination. "I stand up for moral issues and I will not be gagged because someone gets attacked. I condemn it wholeheartedly but that doesn't mean I don't have rights as a Christian to express my views."
"Homosexuality is not natural. My Christian beliefs tell me that it is an abomination and that is very clear. It is an offence to God, an offensive act and something that God abhors. My Christian beliefs tell me to love the sinner but hate the sin, so I condemn the people who went out and kicked that gay man. I am clearly not saying that I want people to thrash the living daylights out of a homosexual man or women, because I don't."
